do i love paying $8+ for a binder? no, but is this one worth the money? yes! i especially love the extra folder space on the sides. perfect for college students3 D ring notebookSo I worked in the legal field for years and as far back as I can remember I've only used Avery View heavy duty binders. My kids even use this brand for the last 30 years in school and for projects. The three rings in the center are not tight and all the papers and tab dividers catch on the three rings and sometimes fall out and tear. When it's a four inch binder this is no way acceptable as it has to be sturdy enough to hold a lot of paper and it is said on the ad that it holds like five hundred sheets. Avery you really messed up with these finders and you need to fix it no cutting Corners $13 is expensive for binders anyway but if people are willing to pay it when we by heavy duty on Amazon we expect the same thing we're buying and any other store. No knockoffs! Save your money. Also to add another note normally there is a Avery advertisement sheet in The View on the front cover there was nothing in the front covers of these. I almost thought maybe they were used and return to Amazon and Amazon send them to me.great product! The notebook does not stand up on the bookshelf like all the other ones that are exactly the same brand. Does this brand now make a lower quality version from this store?ETA: After I posted this review, the seller did come through with a partial refund, so I increased my rating from 1 to 3 stars. The binders themselves are fine and so far no problems... at least with 11 of the 12 that came in the box. One of the binders, however, was damaged on arrival (severely bent/creased). I contacted the seller (Office Depot) and was told - no partial refunds, no replacements. So I was stuck having to choose between either shipping all 12 back (11 of them in good condition), or paying for 12 binders, but only using 11. Very disappointed. Never had a seller to be so inflexible and unhelpful on Amazon before. The size of the binder is nice and the cover seems sturdy, but I've only used it for a week and the center ring is already wonky. Every time I turn a page it gets caught on the faulty ring. Very disappointing.I read some of the other reviews and know that some people had trouble with the rings closing tightly. Mine work just fine and I absolutely LOVE the "D" binder and the EZ open tab! Both great improvements over the old ways. For those of you that haven't used the EZ open rings - Literally it's one-finger opening. No more pressing with one hand and trying to pry the rings open with the other hand. And the "D" ring is secured to the back of the binder so you're not constantly ripping the paper from the ring every time you open and close the binder. If you've never tried a "D" ring and the EZ tab, take my advice and splurge. The little extra you spend will give you a very good products that keeps things neat and tidy.I got the 4" binder...I homeschool and it's very helpful to have the larger binder. Now that I've tried one, I'll be buying another one to begin organizing my genealogy papers and pictures.
