Easy to use or operate, but I wish all notebook styles had better line-up when clasp is returned to locking position everytime - I still recommend.Perfect for financial papers.I've been using 3-ring binders for over 50 years. The good: Apparently free of toxic and malodorous materials; less expensive than essentially identical products; the assembly and cover are of sufficient quality to last many years of light use and not deteriorate with the passage of just a few years. (Seller delivered new product as advertised, securely packaged, next-day delivery faster than advertised.) The bad: Most 3-ring binders are sold under various legacy brands of the same company, and made in the same factory, essentially identical or with small differences in features. The core element of the 3-ring binder, the 3-ring retaining mechanism, is poorly designed or poorly manufactured, and this is the same part used in most (or all) of the binders of the available brands. The rings do not mate securely or firmly and do not remain at the standard 3-hole interval, resulting in a high risk of torn or dropped pages and pinched fingers. They do not easily stand on their own, nor are they stackable, though cover boxes or stand-flaps are available as a feature on other binders. You can pay twice as much for a 3-ring binder and you will still get this same poorly designed or manufactured item.I like the closures to open it without pulling on the big rings. It seems that it is very durable. This binder is the largest of several Avery binders our non-profit has in use for archival storage. Despite its size, the 5-inch binder opens and closes easily and meets our needs perfectly.Simply what is pictured and what a good sized notebook should be.Extremely annoying with the rings not lining up smoothly causing pages to catch on the rings when turning. Expected more for "heavy duty".Easy to open the rings with the tab, seems durable. Probably somewhere in the middle range of durability.Pretty much a regular 3 ring binder. This binder is fantastic! I use it to organize our bills and as you can see we have a lot of them. It fits everything in there nicely and the one tab to open the rings, is so much easier. It did not come with folders but I just ordered some when I ordered the binder. Definitely worth it.The rings have a tendency of opening quite easily, especially if you want to flip multiple pages at once; something most people would want to do if they're buying a folder this big and need to go to a page near the end quickly. Pages get caught on the imperfect allignment of the rings. Arrived with no protection whatsoever and was extremely scratched all around. The 4 "extra pockets" on either side of the cover is really just 2 pockets, each with two strips of different heights. Whatever is held by the smaller strip gets pulled out when you take out what is being held by the larger strip rendering it useless. Overall it feels cheaply made and the inside got easily indented by the folders own rings.Avery Heavy Duty 3-Ring Binder offers high-quality with such easiest of use.R France /independent Researcher. It's a binder. It has rings that open and close. Only issue is that one ring doesn't line up with itself properly and everything snags on it when you try to flip papers over to the other side.Works great, the rings are strong, held a lot of paper.Great brand with established reputation. I have used these in the past and they work very well.
