I don’t find these to be as durable as store bought binders but I’m not a child and will use them carefully so I’m not too worried. Idk that they’d last in a middle schoolers bag for long. I imagine not very long. These binders are very sturdyProbably ok for occasional use in an office.GoodExactly as orderedI like this binder-for the money-but it is a little flimsy and BIG too. I should of got a smaller one, but won't send it back since I paid just a few bucks for it.I use these notebooks for a variety of purposes. For photo albums, I mount my photos on sturdy paper on both sides, adding descriptive text, and place the pages in archival top-loading plastic sleeves designed with holes along the side which fit perfectly with the notebook rings. Some of the photo albums include Grandchildren, Reunions, Vacations, Museum Visits, and Special Events. For a couple of organizations I'm in, I print off meeting minutes and newsletters, etc. and punch holes in the sides and place them in their designated notebooks. I especially make use of the see-through archival plastic front, back, and side covers where I can slide in my own creative attempts. As a college student, I am always looking to save money where I can, so when I saw the opportunity to purchase four three-ring binders for $8.88, I was quick to act on what I perceived to be a great deal. I wasn’t wrong. These binders, made by Avery, claim to be a “sturdy binder for light use.” To me that sounds almost contradictory, but for the price I was able to get them at, I was willing to give them a try. As previously mentioned, I was able to purchase this 4-pack for $8.88. However, I do not mean to convey that as the normal price. These binders sell on the company’s website for $8.31 each. When these binders arrived, and I opened the box, I simply found four loose binders inside, with no further packaging, so to call this a “Multipack” would be a misnomer. This isn’t really an issue, for if they would have been packaged together, I would have had to open the packaging anyway, but I do find it to be false representation of the product.Avery, as a company, is primarily a labeling company, which is how they got their start. They have since expanded to manufacturing other office supplies as well, such as the binders I was able to purchase. They seem to have been thoughtful about how they chose to expand because while I wouldn’t consider them one of the top names in office supplies, they’re a solid company that is putting products in the market that retailers seem to trust. These “view binders”, as Avery calls them, are marketed to have a customizable spine and front cover. For this reason the rings are mounted against the back cover. The customization is achieved by a clear film overlaid on the front cover and spine that you can slide a paper in that contains your graphic or a label of some kind. Inserts for these customisable surfaces are not included, but there are templates available on the company’s website.Apart from the customization of this product, there is two interior pockets, one on each cover, that you are able to place loose papers in, however, these pockets use the same film that is on the cover, so I do not believe they would stand up to heavy use. The mounting used on the back cover also leaves the rivets exposed, which may be a problem for some.Overall, I believe the company’s claim to be a “sturdy binder for light use” to be quite accurate. Their sleek professional look adds to their charm, and are great for adults or more mature students, but would not be durable enough to give to children who have yet to learn how to care for their belongings. This durability is my only concern about these binders, and for that they earn 4 out of 5 stars.Quality not great but to be fair it was cheaper than superior brands. My biggest problem is that it’s impossible to remove the residue from the label. I’ve tried nail polish remover followed by liquid soap but no luck. The folder will be on a music stand during performances and the problem area may well be visible. Not a good look. The binders came with a fast delivery and might have worked under normal circumstances, however . . .PROS:* Fast delivery.* Front and back pockets for displaying a cover or backside information like with books.* Inside pockets as well. (not something personally for me)* Didn't cost too much for the quantity.CONS:* Came damaged on the inside, same as photos shown by others from ring damage.* No padding during shipping so rings pressed against the inside of the binders that was folded in to one another as they were stacked.* Too small for what I needed. With plastic sheet covers and thicker paper, they only held 50 pages. (my fault for not considering the extra width from my materials)* Not very durable as the first person I gave one to, damaged the backside just flipping through the binder. Something must have been under the binder on his table as he was looking at it. Which caused holes and dents in the binder.* I originally struggled to place the plastic sheets inside. I wound up having to do it one at a time as the holes were a pain to line up to otherwise.* I need to order bigger binders now, but not sure on the durability factor alone. I was wanting to sell them as a colouring book with my artwork inside with the plastic sheet covers. They came damaged and I would hate to send that to a customer when it might only get further damaged in their delivery.Just adding that I did not intend to always produce colouring books like this, but it was something I knew how to do and had the money for. If people like being able to store their art behind plastic sheets to help preserve their art afterwards, but at an extra cost of a normal colouring book . . . I would have kept that design style. It acts like a hard cover protection too. Just not these particular ones.Overall they may work for others needs. Just not for storing my artwork in it as a colouring book product. Thanks for reading and I hope others find this helpful.P.S - You're a beautiful and strong individual.I had ordered these binders in hopes of something a little better quality than the $1 basic Walmart binders that were left when I tried to do some last minute back to school shopping. It turns out the $1 Walmart binders are the same quality or even a little better than these. Save your money and buy some basic ones at Walmart.Like the title says.Total scam, add says pack of four and only 1 showed up.Tried for a refund but they want me to drive 35 min both ways to a Purolator for a 10$ refund rather then send the correct amount that was ordered.I just wanted 4 binders.Stay away from this junkThey are perfect. I got these on lightning deal for a great price, just what my girls needed for school. Both front and back have a clear plastic slot/pocket to put a nice cover/subject page into.
