I needed to bend some 4x8 sheets of hardened steel into a gradual curve so I could overlay a curved bottom dump trailer floor that had worn very thin in the middle. I used 8 weld on hooks (4 down each side of the 8 foot edge) and used conventional chain binders to pull the steel into a curve; this worked but was very difficult to control the amount of curvature and dangerous to release.So I bought these ratcheting binders to see if they could handle the load, they did a great job! I was able to get the precise curve over the entire sheet of steel to match the trailer floor so it was a nice tight fit when we welded them down; after they were welded in we simply backed off the ratchet binders and cut off the hooks we had welded to the plates.I would recommend these ratchet binders for anyone needed to put a tremendous amount of pull on chains with precise and gradual adjustments, they are very strong and with a little lube on the threads to prevent rust they should last a long time.They are well madeJust as describedQuality workmanshipUse to tie down equipment
