This portfolio is a good value for under $20. There are 20 pockets on each side of the binding, total of 40 that are 11x17" This would make for 80 count of pages total. The pockets are a plastic sheeting that is transparent, but it's not labeled if these sheets are archival quality or not. For the price I'm going to think not. The page pockets also do not close so the opening should always be placed along the top of the folio, which does correspond correctly with the front cover. The cover is a rigid black plastic and the plastic pockets are permanently riveted to the cover along the spine in three places. There is an elastic closure that wraps around a button on the front edge of the cover.If this were a more expensive product, I would be unhappy that the pockets could not be replaced, say if they tear, but this isn't possible since the pockets are permanently attached. So this shouldn't be for presentations whereby there might be a lot of swapping artwork in and out. Instead this folio should have pieces added and then left there. Otherwise I would be worried about tearing the plastic or pockets splitting open.Given the above considerations I can offer a 5-star review, because it is a good value for the price. Good for grade school or beginning students.
