Rings popped open. Often.I really wanted to like these Avery binders and over the last year or so, I collectively ordered nearly a dozen. Today, however, I simply gave up in total frustration, went to Sam’s Club, purchased their brand at less than half the price, and got satisfaction at last. There is no question that these binders look quite attractive on the shelf and they definitely hold a good deal of files, whether filed singularly or, as in my case, in plastic sleeves, and if you are planning to use them for little more than storage, they probably could work fine. Use them regularly, opening and closing the rings, however, and invariably the top one will open by itself and you will wind up being forced the remove a dozen or more pages to reposition them back in the binder properly. Many company’s binders, including those mentioned above, have a double lock on them that forces the the rings to stay closed until released. The Avery does not and as a result using it/them regularly is enough to drive one to tears. It obviously depends therefore what one is looking for in a binder but there is no doubt that these are not ones that any one planning on using them constantly ought to consider seriously.Works as expectedPoor quality. Metal rings do not line up and plastic that connects the spine to front/back covers appears flimsy. Would not recommend. We attend a year-round school and there isn't a lot of variety when school shopping in early July. So I went online and tried this out. I wanted to wait to review to how it help up to daily use from a 4th grader. It's been about half the school year and so far they are very good. A little normal wear and tear at the corners but the binder rings still release and hold well. I have no doubt it will make it through the rest of the school year fine. Glad to find more color offerings besides black and white so he can identify his binder quickly in class. This product had no labels and was pretty banged up when I received it. Nothing like the picture. Maybe it was used? Not sure. Not worth $11.Being sturdy.I could probably buy this same binder at Walmart for half the cost, but its durable and sturdy. It’s weird though that it only has one button to open the prongs though.
